2026.08.19 Rhea Doing Rhea Things

Day One at School #3: Run Fast. Learn Fast. Eat Fast.

Today was Rhea's first day at her third school.

An sent many photos in the morning.

Rhea was wearing a black T-shirt from her aunt who works at Google:

I AM RHEA DOING RHEA THINGS

Her new lunch bag was ready.

Inside was lunch in a round metal container—the same kind of container that immediately reminded Grandpa of our Yosemite trip months ago.

There was also a little plastic box with 2 strawberries and 4 enormous green grapes.

A new school.

New teachers.

New children.

A new lunch.

A whole new little world.

Then came snack time.

An noticed an Indian girl sitting behind a small pile of raisins.

And far behind her, in the photo, was Rhea—

with her left arm raised high in the air.

😂

An:

Lol

Grandpa:

“I am not afraid of anyone” again?

An:

“Probably ‘more raisins’.”

Then the missing piece of the story became clear:

The raisins in front of Rhea's own seat may already have been completely gone before the other girl had even started eating hers.

Of course.

😂

Rhea runs fast.

Rhea learns new things fast.

Apparently, Rhea eats fast too.

So there she was, on the very first day of school #3, apparently having completed Phase One:

Raisins in front of Rhea → gone.

Then Phase Two:

Locate more raisins.

Then Phase Three:

Raise left hand.

No fear.

No hesitation.

Just Rhea doing Rhea things.

Grandpa:

“Why not? Go and do Rhea's thing — eat!”

Cindy:

“不吃亏!”

Don't lose out. 😂

The T-shirt could hardly have been more perfectly chosen.

Her aunt gave her the words.

Rhea provided the demonstration.

At three years old, Rhea is already teaching us something without knowing it.

Every new environment begins with uncertainty.

A new school can be intimidating.

But perhaps confidence doesn't always look like standing up and announcing:

“I am confident.”

Sometimes it looks like a tiny girl quietly figuring out what she wants—

and raising her hand.

Maybe she doesn't know yet that this is her third school.

Maybe she doesn't care.

She simply arrives, observes, learns, runs, eats, and asks for more.

That's Rhea.

And today, on 2026.08.19, she began another chapter.

A three-year-old can walk into a completely new environment and begin making it her own.

Run fast. Learn fast. Observe carefully. And when you know what you want, raise your hand.

Because growing up isn't only about learning new skills. It is also about keeping the courage to be yourself wherever you go.

And perhaps the Museum's first dated exhibit should end with the simplest possible caption:

2026.08.19 — Rhea's third school.
The raisins didn't stand a chance. 😂❤️
